FOLD Auction 2 is now open
A deliberately small 2% FOLD auction ahead of general transferability, with 50% of proceeds dedicated to long-term onchain liquidity support.
FOLD Auction 2 is now open through Uniswap’s Continuous Clearing Auction mechanism.
This is a deliberately small, tightly scoped auction: 2% of total FOLD supply, with a floor matching the clearing price of the first FOLD Auction.
Its role is specific: broaden distribution ahead of general FOLD transferability on Aug 19 and support long-term onchain liquidity.
The Interfold lets competing companies or complete strangers compute together on sensitive data without exposing what they put in: private inputs, verifiable outputs, no trusted hardware.
FOLD supports participation in that network through ciphernode bonding, E3 request economics, operator incentives, and governance. Read the Interfold Launch Primer →

Why Auction 2?
Auction 2 is designed as a final, limited distribution step before FOLD becomes generally transferable.
The auction uses a transparent, public Uniswap CCA for price discovery and distribution.
Its scope is intentionally small, with 2% of total FOLD supply available and 50% of proceeds dedicated to long-term onchain liquidity support.
Auction 2 closes shortly before general FOLD transferability can be enabled on Aug 19. After that transition, the launch focus moves from token distribution toward general transferability, Network Alpha, and FOLD’s role in network participation.
How is Auction 2 different from the first FOLD Auction?
Auction 2 is substantially smaller in scale and takes place at a different point in the launch sequence.
The first FOLD Auction established a clearing price of 0.02154816 USDC / FOLD. Auction 2 begins with that same price as its floor rather than starting below the price established in the first auction.
The first auction was followed by a launch-period transfer restriction. Auction 2 instead closes shortly before general FOLD transferability, with claiming expected to become available after the auction closes.
Auction 2 does not change the allocation or clearing price received by participants in the first auction.
What are Auction 2 proceeds used for?
50% of Auction 2 proceeds will be dedicated to long-term onchain liquidity support.
Proceeds from the first auction have also continued to support the launch. 25% of the ETH raised in the first auction went directly to a Uniswap liquidity pool. The remaining ETH was deposited into Aave and used as collateral to borrow USDC, which has funded salaries, audit costs, and other launch-related expenses.
Auction 2 is intended to support the transition into general FOLD transferability by broadening distribution and deepening liquidity through a transparent, public onchain mechanism.
Of the USDC raised in Auction 2, 25% will go directly to a Uniswap liquidity pool and a further 25% will be used for ad hoc liquidity support. The remaining 50% will go to the Interfold Foundation treasury to support ongoing development of the protocol.
