FOLD Post-Auction FAQ

Last updated: July 11, 2026

The FOLD auction is complete. This FAQ covers claiming, unused funds, the 40-day cooldown, transferability, ciphernode bonding, and what to do if something does not look right in the Uniswap auction interface.

Current status

  • The FOLD auction closed on July 10.
  • Allocated FOLD and any unspent ETH can be claimed through the same verified Uniswap auction interface used to participate.
  • Claiming does not make FOLD transferable.
  • General transfers remain restricted during the 40-day cooldown.
  • TGE and FOLD transferability are scheduled for August 19.
  • Network Alpha is a separate stage of the Interfold launch sequence.

Can I claim my FOLD now?

Yes. Allocated FOLD can be claimed through the same verified Uniswap auction interface used to participate in the auction.

Use only the interface linked through official Interfold channels:
https://www.theinterfold.com/fold-auction

Do I need to claim immediately?

No. Uniswap states that claims do not expire. Participants can claim their allocated FOLD and any unspent ETH at any time through the completed auction page.

Whether claimed now or later, FOLD remains subject to the same 40-day transfer restriction.

Does claiming make my FOLD transferable?

No. Claiming through the verified Uniswap auction interface sends your allocated FOLD and any unspent ETH to your connected wallet. It does not make FOLD transferable.

General wallet-to-wallet transfers remain restricted during the 40-day cooldown and are scheduled to begin on August 19. Learn how to claim tokens after a Uniswap auction.

What happens to unused ETH?

Any unspent ETH from your auction budget is returned when you claim through the verified Uniswap auction interface.

After connecting the wallet used to participate, select Claim on the completed auction page. The claim transaction sends both your allocated FOLD and any unspent ETH to your wallet.

Claims do not expire, so you do not need to claim immediately.

Start from the official Interfold auction page, or review Uniswap’s claiming instructions.

What should I do if my allocation, unused funds, or transaction does not look right?

First, confirm that you are connected with the same wallet used to place the bid and that you are viewing the verified Uniswap auction interface.

If something still does not look right:

  • do not respond to unsolicited DMs
  • do not connect your wallet to another page
  • do not follow privately sent troubleshooting instructions
  • do not send anyone your seed phrase or private key
  • do not pay anyone for support
  • do not share private verification documents in Telegram

If you need support, ask in the the official Interfold Telegram group. Wait for a response from an account carrying Telegram’s actual admin or team label and verify the exact account against the pinned official team roster.

Why is there a 40-day cooldown?

The cooldown is part of the planned FOLD launch sequence and is enforced through the token contract.

During the cooldown, general transfers remain restricted. Protocol audits, operator preparation, and other launch work will continue in parallel.

TGE and FOLD transferability are scheduled for August 19.

Network Alpha remains a separate network rollout and should not be confused with the auction or token transferability.

Can I transfer claimed FOLD to another wallet during the cooldown?

No. Claiming does not bypass the transfer restriction. General wallet-to-wallet transfers remain unavailable until transferability begins.

Can I trade FOLD now?

No. FOLD remains non-transferable during the cooldown, so there is no open market for general trading at this time.

Transferability is scheduled for August 19. Any confirmed liquidity or trading information will be announced through official Interfold channels.

Will FOLD trade at the same price paid in the auction?

Not necessarily. FOLD was allocated through the CCA’s clearing process. The prices established through that auction do not determine the market price once transferable trading begins.

FOLD is currently non-transferable, so there is no official open-market price today, and future market prices or returns cannot be predicted.

Can I stake or bond FOLD?

There is no passive FOLD staking pool or delegation product.

FOLD bonding is for participants who operate a ciphernode. Once production ciphernode participation is live, it will be permissionless: anyone who meets the protocol’s technical and bonding requirements can join.

Operators will need to run the required software, satisfy the applicable bonding requirements, and complete the protocol’s onchain registration process.

Technical requirements and operator instructions will be published through official Interfold channels.

What is a ciphernode?

Ciphernodes are the operator layer of the Interfold network.

For each confidential computation, a committee of ciphernodes participates in duties including:

  • distributed key generation
  • execution coordination
  • threshold decryption

Operators bond FOLD and a stablecoin as economic collateral for correct network participation.

Is Network Alpha live?

No. Network Alpha is the first coordinated mainnet phase of the Interfold network. It is expected to include early ciphernodes, initial integrations, E3 execution flows, and production validation.

The FOLD auction, TGE and transferability, and Network Alpha are separate milestones.

When does FOLD transferability begin?

TGE and general FOLD transferability are scheduled for August 19.

Until then, general transfers remain restricted through the token contract.

Any additional instructions will be shared only through official Interfold channels.

The safest place to begin is the official Interfold website:
https://www.theinterfold.com

Only use auction, claiming, withdrawal, and support links published through:

  • the official Interfold website (including its blog)
  • the official Interfold X account
  • the official Interfold Telegram group
  • the verified Uniswap auction interface linked through those channels

Do not trust:

  • copied token or contract addresses
  • privately sent claim, withdrawal, or support pages
  • impersonator accounts
  • screenshots presented as instructions
  • wallet-connection links sent through DMs

Will the team contact me by DM?

Interfold team members and moderators will not initiate support DMs.

If you have already contacted an official team member, they may reply to the conversation you initiated. They will never ask for:

  • a seed phrase
  • a private key
  • a wallet backup
  • payment for support
  • access to your wallet
  • connection through an unofficial page

In Telegram, check for the account’s actual admin or team label and verify the exact account against the pinned official team roster.
